Crawling & Hiking

It's official, Elliott is now crawling! For a while now he's been worming around on the floor and managing some forward progress while he does that. Today, however, he crawled out of his bedroom and down the hall to meet me at the washer/dryer. He's also managed to pull himself into a standing position in his crib. So, down went the mattress to a lower level. Can't have him launching himself out just yet.

The weather is Portland has been amazing recently. We took advantage of it and went on a hike in the Columbia River Gorge. I died - well, nearly. It just confirmed to me how completely out of shape I am. But, I made it to the top and the view was spectacular. Elliott was great, he slept almost the entire way up the mountain. I think on the way down he got a little annoyed with being cooped up for so long, but he was a good sport. Here are some photos of us at the top.
