A question for babies

So, when you fall asleep with your foot in your face, do you wake up sore?

Elliott visits the Chinese Garden

Today, we visited the Chinese Garden in downtown. The second to last picture is a dwarf pomegranate, but we aren't sure what the tree in the last one is.

We also found out that he got accepted to the day care we were hoping to get him in. I think they realized his future genius. It is about a one minute walk from our house, so I might be able to visit him during the day. He still has quite a bit more time at home with us before he gets to go.

This and That...

The other night while I was up feeding Elliott, during one of his burps he unknowingly discovered his thumb and proceeded to suck like a maniac on it. I wish I'd had a camera on me since it was so cute. After thinking how adorable he looked I remembered what horrible teeth I had before braces and felt bad for the poor little guy. Hopefully he won't inherit that trait from me.

Last night we sat around and watched the Blazers beat the Bulls. Elliott was actually awake during most of the game so I took the opportunity to take some pictures of him. As you can tell, he's very impressed by the Blazers stunning victory .

This picture was just too funny not to share with people. :)

Elliott turns two weeks

Tomorrow morning Elliott will be two weeks old. His second week wasn't very eventful, though he did have a lot of visits from family and friends. He had his second bath, and still hated every minute of it. The three of us were just able to hang out at home and relax before Dan heads back to work. We are very lucky because Elliott is a very mellow baby. He enjoys being awake from 10pm to about 2am most nights. Luckily Dan is able to help me out with feeding Elliott so neither of us are too sleep deprived.







Today we went over to the Imbrie's house to use their cider press and make our own apple cider. Elliott was good, as usual, and slept nearly the entire time.

Elliott meets his cousins

Yesterday afternoon Elliott got to meet his cousins Joshua, Brooke and Grace. Josh and Brooke each got a chance to hold him.

Baby Elliott is Born!

Elliott Daniel Porter was born November 3rd, 2008 at 11:21am. He weighed 7 lbs 8 oz and was 19 3/4" long.

We just spent our first full night with Elliott and he was great. Yesterday we had visits from friends and family and are looking forward to more. We are planning to stay here one more night. Right now Elliott is sleeping and Wendy is reading a magazine.

I'm going to be adding some pictures and video because my mom was able to give us her camera link, so we don't have to just use iPhone pictures.

Elliott is choosing to remain non-partisan for the election.
