Go Blazers

For Christmas I got Dan tickets to a Blazer game...a game in February! But, it was well worth the wait, we had great seats. Unfortunatly, I thought we had purchased tickets for behind the Blazer bench. I was wrong :( We were 3 rows behind the visitor bench, the LA Clippers. Not nearly as exciting. Maybe next time...

We had a ton of fun at hte game. It was really exciting being so close to the action. The Blazers blew out the Clippers! Here is a view from our seats:

Here's All-Star Brandon Roy getting ready for a foul shot:

Grandma and Grandpa Porter volunteered to watch Elliott while we were at the game. I'm sure it was a big imposition :) If we'd been up in the 300 section Dan and I would probably have brought him. But, because our seats were so great we decided to go it alone. However, we had to be sure Elliott was also in the Blazer spirit. (Dan was not nearly as excited as I was. I mean, Michael Jordan didn't play for the Blazers...I think Dan thought I was making E into a little traitor.):

Cousins

Aunt Amy and Caleb came over today to hang out and have dinner. Jacob, Joshua and Cameron are down in Sacramento celebrating Grandma Bebe's birthday so we invited Amy and Caleb over for dinner. Of course the boys were perfect angels:

Caleb is getting so big, it's hard to believe that he is already 4 weeks old! That means that Elliott will be 16 weeks old on Monday!! Where has the time gone? We are consistently getting good reports from E's daycare. Every time Dan and I go in to pick him up he's happy and not crying. I also have heard that his cousins Brooke and Grace are loving having him over on Wednesday's. I was lucky enough to take Thursday off this week (my mom was at the HS State swim meet) and got to hang out with Elliott all day. What a great middle of the week treat. He has been doing really well at night. He'll usually go to bed around 9:30-10:30 and is sleeping until 7am. I don't know how Dan and I got so lucky.

Here is Elliott playing at Grandma's house:

Here he is having some "tummy time". The mini boppy is courtesy of cousin Grace (that explains the pink color):

Elliott is feeling better

Elliott is getting over his first cold. He wanted to thank Aunt Sarah and Grandma Karen for watching him this week. He especially wanted to thank his cousin Brooke for putting a teddy bear next to him in the morning when he woke up, so that he could go back to sleep.

Elliott has been too busy to blog because he was making a music video. Parents over 30 should turn their sound down.

Happy Three Months!!

Happy Three Months little E!!

Elliott is 3 months old today and is celebrating with a terrible cough and snotty nose...poor guy. We weighed him over the weekend and he's already up to 15 lbs! He is starting to try and sit, though not on his own yet. Elliott doesn't like to always lean back and will work really hard to get himself in a sitting position. Here are a few pictures to commemorate the day:

This is what he looked like when I got home from work today:

Maybe feeling a little better after a nap:

This one is sort of a cheat, it's after going to a superbowl party...but he looked cute:

I guess when you start at daycare, your mom rides public transport and you hang out with sick cousins you're bound to get it too.

I'm a pill

Hi, my name is Elliott. I was sort of a pill yesterday. I just wasn't happy unless I was being held by my parents. Here I am, not happy, in my bouncy chair:

Again, still not happy because my mom had to do the dishes and not hold me:

How could you possibly be mad at me though, I'm so cute:

******************************************************************************

Elliott had his first two days at day care this past week. We got a great review on Tuesday, not such a great one of Friday. Hopefully he's adjusting well and having fun. Dan said that he was happy when he was dropped off on Friday. Maybe that means we aren't scarring him for life. My first week back was alright. There are alot of lay-offs happening at OHSU right now, so it's not a very fun environment to come back to. My department was hit especially hard, so I'm thankful to have a job right now. Dan took off Wednesday & Thursday from work this past week and will do so next week. He got some great quality time with Elliott.
