Elliott's first day of school

I just dropped Elliott off for his first day of day care. He was calm, and liked his new teacher Kelly. There were two other boys and one other girl there he got to meet. I might visit him at lunch.

We did some last minute studying the other day to get him ready:

Elliott's New Toy

Brad and Carrie got Elliott a bouncy chair for Christmas. He is holding his head up a lot better, so we thought we could try it out. He was having fun in it.

Finally some pictures

First, a video of Elliott, from clips over the last few weeks. It has been censored due to excessive baby talk, so instead you get Chopin:

Here is Elliott hanging out with his cousin Caleb (he's no longer the littlest cousin!):

And Caleb again:

Welcome Caleb!!

Great news, my sister Amy had her 3rd baby boy this morning. Congratulations to Amy, Jacob, big brothers Joshua and Cameron!

Caleb joined the world at 7:02 am, weighed 8 lbs 4 oz. and is 20 inches long.

Elliott decided to wake up at 5am today to eat. After slowly eating about 1 oz (in 30 minutes) I got him going and he finished his bottle. But, he was wide awake. In frustration I decided to drive him around for a bit to get him to go to sleep. (I'd like to take a moment to say that this is the first time I've done that). As E and I are driving around I got a text from my sister saying she was heading into the hospital. I called and asked if there was anything I could bring for them. Jacob said he'd would love a coffee. Once I got to the delivery room I heard some very painful noises. Amy was delivering that very moment! I guess I'm lucky that Elliott decided to wake up so early otherwise I wouldn't have been able to meet Caleb this morning.

I'll try to post some pics. of the new guy today if I can get some. We will be heading back up to the hospital in a while to bring lunch and to visit.

Congrats again to the Shank family!! :)

Coming soon...

We've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new cousin for Elliott. That's actually why I haven't posted, I was waiting for big news to come. Alas, Amy is still pregnant. Maybe when she finally has her new little boy we'll have more pictures and some stories to share.

Hurry up Amy! :)

UPDATE: Amy just informed me that she will be induced on Saturday if nothing happens before then. Yay!!

Thumbs

It's official, Elliott is in love with him thumb. He loves to suck on it and get really mad when he removes it from his mouth. I don't think he's quite put it together that his thumb is attached to his hand, and that hand is attached to his body. He'll get it soon enough.

Here are some cutes pics. of Elliott during and after his bath last night. He used to scream the entire bath, now he happily hangs out in his little tub and kicks around.

The other night I was folding clothes and had some Bob Dylan playing on my iPod. It turns out that E really likes the song, "Blowin' in the Wind" as he was kicking his feet and smiling when it was playing. I thought it was then appropriate for him to wear his fancy Bob Dylan shirt today.

Sorry about being so slow with posting on here. Dan uses the main computer during work hours so I have to sneak on it when he's either on the laptop or at night. We are taking Elliott in to his daycare tomorrow so we can tell them all about him. He starts in two weeks!! Which also means that I have to go back to work in two weeks. :( I've had so much fun with him at home. I think it's going to be a rough transition for me, at least at first. E is currently sleeping right now, I should take advantage of that time and finish picking up our house.

Two Months Old

We went for his 2 month doctor visit and this little man is gaining weight like a champ! He weighed in at 13 lbs 7.5 oz!! He also got his shots that day and didn't like them at all. Luckily his nurse was super fast and got them done in no time. I'm thankful we don't have to do that for another 2 months.

Elliott has found his fists and thumb in the past few days. He'll happily suck on either one and then proceed to get really mad when he moves his hand away from his mouth.

Here are some pictures of Elliott as he turns 2 months old.
